I was introduced to Jeff Dunham and his “little people in the boxes” on Sunday at Rupp Arena. I attended the Jeff Dunham: Identity Crisis Tour show knowing relatively nothing about him other than he was a ventriloquist. I am a Horror fan. My adoration for the genre began almost from birth as I was born close to Halloween, every year forcing my girlfriends to watch late night movies like Steven Spielberg’s Poltergeist, Night of the Living Dead, and John Carpenter’s The Fog during holiday themed slumber parties. There was something special about these films that I couldn’t explain then, but understand now; they are classic. The faceless shape, the hidden terror, the shambling zombie…they are fun.
