Burn Halo Opens For Rock Trio

As the sun begins to creep down toward the horizon on March 27, Buckcherry, Avenged Sevenfold and Papa Roach will be hitting the stage at Rupp Arena. This excellent night of rock has been billed as having four bands. Up until the Nickelback tour which just started, Saving Abel was that fourth band. Now they have moved on to touring with Nickelback, which I would argue is a much more appropriate market for their music. So to round out the foursome, Burn Halo will be stepping in as the opener at Rupp Arena (and other dates on the tour). For those wondering who they are, hit the jump to get in-the-know.
Burn Halo is a new band fronted by James Hart, former lead of Eighteen Visions. After his former band broke up, Hart began working with Zac Maloy (whose credits include co-writing with Daughtry, David Cook, and Theory Of A Deadman) on developing the Burn Halo album. The album, which is due out at the end of this month (days after their performance at Rupp), features bass grooves by Chris Chaney from Jane’s Addiction and drums by the very talented Daniel Adair from Nickelback. Hart spent much of 2008 finding and assembling the touring band for Burn Halo which he hopes will help produce later albums. Burn Halo’s touring band is comprised of Aaron Boheler on bass, Joey Cunha on lead guitar, Allen Wheeler on rhythm guitar, and Ryan Folden on drums, with James Hart obviously taking lead vocals.
It will be interesting to see them preform before they even have an album released. That being said, my interest is peaked. Also, did I mention that Synyster Gates (lead guitar for Avenged Sevenfold) recorded a few songs with them for their album? Who knows, maybe we will see him take the stage with them for a few songs.
