Nickelback Is Nigh

February27

We are counting down hours to the biggest rock show (as far as attendance) Rupp Arena has had in more than five years. The Nickelback concerts starts at 7:00pm tonight, with Saving Abel and Seether opening. Since we are only the second venue on the tour, they moved in yesterday to make sure all their t’s were crossed and all of their i’s were dotted. I took some photos from the same place as the day went by to try to show how elaborate the stage is and how much skill all the workers have to making it all come together seamlessly. Below is a moving image of the setup. You can find the relative time in the bottom right corner. Enjoy, and see you at the show tonight!

Why the f**k did it take you 8 years to come to Lex, KY again!!!!!! We have been waiting for this kind show to come to town. The biggest rock concert to hit this joint in 5 years, and DAMN was it a HELL of a show. The best concert I've been to in the last 15 years. I love you're music love your cd's, but the sound of the music in person was unbelievable, unreal!! Thank you Chad for talking to us like you knew us and our town. The vodka and crown was f**king awesome, I just wish I could have been on the side that got the crown. PARTY!!! KY bourbon, rock on. And to you Daniel, that drum solo, oh my god!!! You are f**king awesome. It really made me happy to see the drummer get a solo spotlight instead of being stuck in the background. Love you Chad, but I drop my panties for Daniel. Thank you guys for ending the show with animal, it was f**king hot and we all left the arena pumped up and ready to continue the party. Please come back to LEX before another 8 years go by.

The show was everything a rock concert should be! Sniper rifles shooting tshirts into the nosebleeds, drum solos, pyrotechnics, Chad Kroger. :) Being General Admission to this show was amazing. If they're ever in Lexington again, I'll definately be there!

Awesome show. Pyro tech was fantastic, timed perfect. Wished there were a little more time to squeeze one more song in (an old one), "Leader of men", hint, hint. Otherwise, flawless. Two fists up to Saving Abel (wonder who got the guitar). Seether was lets just say Seether; rocked the house for sure. All in all one hell of a concert. I got my tix last minute and they were nose bleed (get some stronger snipper rifles guys, want some of those t-shirts you pump out). Don't change a thing you guys rock.......PS. If i could have left my wife at home, what a bonus, you f**kers draw some serious a**, young and old. One more thing, Dan that drum solo rocked motherf**king a**. This is DaveR from Lex, KY signing out.
