2008-09 UK Men’s Basketball Schedule

On August 2nd, the University of Kentucky announced it’s upcoming basketball schedule for the 2008-2009 season. There are a total of 13 (or more) games that will be televised. Most will be split between CBS and ESPN networks. There will be 18 home games played at Rupp Arena, as well as some matches in Las Vegas. The first SEC game is on Saturday, January 10 with the Wildcats hosting Vanderbilt. Later in the season, Senior Day will be against Georgia on March 4. Other notable games include Auburn on January 21, South Carolina on January 31, Mississippi State on February 3, Florida on February 10, Tennessee on Feb. 21 and LSU on Feb. 28.

“We’re extremely excited about this year’s very challenging schedule,” said UK head coach Billy Gillispie. “It should prepare us for anything we could see over the entirety of the season. We’re particularly excited about our home schedule, which will be very demanding and exciting for our fans. We can’t wait to get started.”
